What makes KIMIKO Matcha different?
We didn't want to create just another matcha brand.
We wanted to make the kind of matcha we'd actually reach for every day. So we spent months tasting samples, speaking directly with growers in Uji, Japan, and obsessing over every little detail until we found the one.
The result? A ceremonial grade matcha that's naturally sweet, rich in umami and bold enough to shine in both hot and iced lattes.
Is it ceremonial grade?
Absolutely.
KIMIKO is made using first harvest, ceremonial grade matcha from Uji, Japan — a region that's been producing some of the world's best matcha for centuries.
It's the matcha we chose after months of tasting, and one we couldn't stop drinking.
Is KIMIKO Matcha suitable for beginners?
Definitely.
Whether it's your first matcha or your hundredth, KIMIKO was made to be enjoyed.
It's smooth, balanced and easy to drink, whether you're making a simple iced latte or trying one of our recipes for the first time.
How much matcha should I use?
We recommend 2g for your everyday matcha.
It's the sweet spot we've found for a smooth, balanced latte that lets the matcha shine. If you like a stronger flavour, simply use 3g instead.
There's no right or wrong, just make it how you enjoy it!
What's the best way to prepare KIMIKO Matcha?
Sift 2g of KIMIKO Matcha into a bowl, add 30ml of water at 65–75°C, then whisk in a fast zig-zag motion until smooth and lightly frothy.
Pour over your milk of choice, or keep it traditional with just hot water.

Does KIMIKO Matcha contain sugar?
Nope.
KIMIKO Matcha is 100% pure ceremonial grade matcha. No added sugar. No flavourings. No fillers. Just finely stone-milled Japanese green tea.
What you taste is exactly what nature intended.
How should I store KIMIKO Matcha?
Keep your tin somewhere cool, dry and out of direct sunlight.
Once opened, we recommend enjoying it within 6–8 weeks for the freshest flavour, colour and aroma.
A little tip from us: pop the lid back on straight after each use to keep your matcha at its best.
How many drinks are in a tin?
Each tin contains 30g of ceremonial grade matcha.
Using our recommended serving of 2g, you'll make around 15 matcha lattes. Prefer yours a little stronger? Using 3g will make around 10.
